Thunder and lightning spread across the Bournemouth area last night during a late storm, along with large hailstones hitting the area.
Heavy rain and loud thunder dominated the skies across BCP for over an hour, with residents reporting both sheet and flash lightning as the weather moved northwards across the region.
The storm began at around 11pm and continued into the early hours, making Dorset one of the few places to experience the full event late at night along the south coast.
People across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole recorded the storm as it happened, with videos and photos shared on platforms including TikTok and Facebook.
The footage attracted viewers from around the world as residents captured the heavy rain, loud thunder and repeated lightning above the area.
The storm brought a dramatic end to the evening for many in BCP, with the most active weather arriving late at night and continuing beyond midnight.
The storm then headed north towards Ringwood, Verwood, Salisbury and North Dorset.
