Barclays has applied to take over part of the former Bobby’s Beauty store in Bournemouth Square.
The plans relate to the ground floor of the Bobby’s building at 2–12 Commercial Road.
The proposed bank would include customer areas, a counter, waiting spaces, consultation areas, four private meeting rooms and two one-to-one rooms.
Barclays also wants to install new signage, including illuminated fascia and projecting signs, an illuminated ATM surround and an internal graphic display.
The application says eight full-time staff would work at the branch.
Opening hours would be 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 4pm on Saturdays.
The plans are open for public consultation until June 4 under application number P/26/01451/FUL.
