MP Tom Hayes visited Bournemouth and Poole College to learn about a new sustainability initiative for hairdressing students.
The project is being delivered in partnership with Dorset-based organic salon Barnet and Belle.
Organic Colour Systems products are being introduced into the college’s training salons, with specialist training planned for staff and students.
The college says the scheme will help students develop sustainable salon practices and gain experience with premium organic and vegan-friendly products.
The hair and beauty salons are due to move into the college’s new £36 million Compass Building this September.
