Dorset plan faces delay risk

Dorset Council has warned its Local Plan could be delayed again.

The plan, which will guide development up to 2038–2040, is at risk of missing key deadlines.

Councillors say delays in receiving national policy agreements from Government are slowing progress.

Planning lead Shane Bartlett said councils across the country are facing similar issues.

The council is still aiming to stick to its timetable, with another public consultation expected later this year.
