A large block of ice near Bournemouth Pier has been drawing attention from people visiting the seafront.
The unexpected object was spotted on the Pier Approach, with passers-by stopping to take photos and speculate about where it came from and why it was there.
The ice block appeared without explanation, prompting curiosity among those in the area, with some questioning whether it was part of an art installation or a publicity stunt.
No official explanation has been confirmed regarding who placed the ice there or its intended purpose.
At least two people are on guard around the ice, advising people not to touch it.
A sign also says not to interfere with the ice, and that it could collapse at any time.
