A specialist end-of-life care service is making a growing impact in Poole.
Forest Holme Hospice has expanded its Hospice at Home service to the area, offering personalised care to patients in their own homes.
The service, which has already been running successfully at the Macmillan Unit in Christchurch, has been extended thanks to community support and a partnership with Macmillan Caring Locally.
Since late 2025, teams have been supporting patients and families across Poole, providing round-the-clock care alongside other health services.
Staff say the service allows people to remain in familiar surroundings, close to loved ones, during the most difficult times.
The hospice charity has committed £800,000 over two years to help fund the expansion, with hopes the service will continue to grow and reach more people in need.
