Man arrested after knife threat incident in Bournemouth

A man has been arrested following a reported knife-related incident in Bournemouth.

Police say the incident happened at around 3.20pm on Friday 9 January 2026 in the Bath Road area.

It was reported that a man threatened a victim with what appeared to be a Stanley knife.

The victim was able to leave the scene in his car, while the suspect reportedly headed towards Gervis Road.

Following CCTV enquiries, officers arrested a 26-year-old local man on suspicion of possessing a bladed article in a public place and a public order offence.

He has since been released on police bail while investigations continue.
