An investigation is underway after a Christchurch man died following an incident in Bournemouth.
Officers were called at around 3am on Monday 6 April 2026 to a report of an assault outside MyBar in Charminster Road, where a man aged in his 40s from Christchurch was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following fast time enquiries, two men from Bournemouth aged 37 and 46, along with a 34 year old man from Poole, have been arrested on suspicion of murder as detectives continue work to establish what happened.
Detective Chief Inspector Nicky Jenkins said “our thoughts are with the family” and confirmed a detailed investigation is ongoing, with an extensive cordon in place while officers carry out enquiries at the scene.
Police say there were a number of people in the area at the time and are urging witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward, adding there will be an increased police presence locally while the investigation continues.
