Fancy being part of a Poole pantomime?
A new open call is giving performers the chance to join Lighthouse Poole’s Christmas pantomime.
The venue is inviting dancers to audition for the ensemble cast of Jack and the Beanstalk, its in-house production for Christmas 2026, after Dick Whittington was nominated for Best Panto in the UK Pantomime Awards for its 2025 run.
Lighthouse says the auditions are open to all and that “everyone will be seen”, with assistant producer Ashton Corbin saying the team wants “hard working, dedicated young dancers” who are also interested in acting and singing.
There are 4 places for a Young Ensemble aged 16 to 19 by 26 November 2026, with no professional experience required, although strong dance technique is recommended, especially in Classical Ballet and Jazz.
A further 4 places are available in the professional ensemble for performers with strong dance ability who will understudy key roles, sing, and may also take on supporting characters during the run.
Auditions will be held on Thursday 16 April at Lighthouse Poole, with applicants asked to register by 5pm on Thursday 9 April.
