Late fightback seals Bournemouth win away

Bournemouth came from behind to secure a two one Premier League victory away at Everton.

The hosts led at the interval after Iliman Ndiaye converted a penalty three minutes before the break, awarded when Rayan fouled Jarrad Branthwaite, with Everton having earlier seen a goal ruled out for offside and created the clearer chances in a tight first half.

Bournemouth responded strongly after the restart and drew level on sixty one minutes when Adrien Truffert delivered an inswinging cross from the left, allowing Rayan to power a close range header beyond Jordan Pickford for his second goal in as many matches.

The turnaround was completed just three minutes later as a free kick from deep was headed on by James Hill, with Amine Adli reacting first to nod the ball home from close range and put the visitors ahead.

Everton’s hopes of a response were damaged when Jake O’Brien was sent off for denying a clear chance, and despite late pressure and several set pieces, Bournemouth held firm to see out the closing stages and claim all three points.
