A woman is receiving appropriate care after being taken to a place of safety following an incident on Westover Road in Bournemouth on Wednesday evening.
Police were called at 6.45pm on 26 November after a concern was raised for her welfare in the town centre.
Officers attended with ambulance crews and the fire service to assess the situation.
Road closures were put in place so emergency teams could work safely and manage the scene. At around 9.20pm it was confirmed that the woman had been taken to a secure location where she could receive the support she required.
Police said she is now receiving the appropriate care.
