Pennyfarthing buys Ringwood Brewery site
Pennyfarthing Homes has purchased the former Ringwood Brewery, which it plans to convert into modern offices as its new headquarters.
The family-run housebuilder, based in New Milton, says the move marks an important step in its long-term growth plans as it continues to expand across Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire.
The historic site, close to Ringwood town centre, was sold by Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company, now known as Carlsberg Britvic, after being put on the market two years ago.
As part of the deal, Pennyfarthing Homes has completed a sub-sale of two warehouses to Brighter Productions, an event production company that will also establish its headquarters there. The deal was introduced by Bryony Thompson from Vail Williams.
Executive Chairman Mark Adams said the project will “bring new jobs and energy to the local area” and provide the company with a base that “reflects our ambitions for the future.”
The 1.88-acre site includes over 36,000 square feet of space made up of former brewery buildings, offices, a tap room and car parking. It offers easy access to the A31 and A338, and is within walking distance of the town centre.
Brighter Productions’ Commercial Director Sean Tomkins said the company is “thrilled to be moving into such a unique and characterful location.”
Work on redeveloping the site is expected to start in 2026, with both companies planning to relocate once construction is complete.
