Morebus opens community fund for charities and groups in September

Morebus has launched its September Community Fund, offering local organisations the chance to receive support ranging from funding to free travel and marketing help.

The initiative is open to charities, schools, sports teams and event organisers across the area. Successful applicants could also be given the use of Morebus vehicles to support community events.

Richard Wade, general manager at Morebus, said: “We provide bus services across the region but we also actively look to support and raise awareness for those doing excellent work on behalf of those living here. The Morebus Community Fund is open to everyone – from charities to sports teams – and we encourage anyone who needs a helping hand, however big or small, to apply.”

Groups interested in applying are invited to visit the Morebus website during September to share details of their cause, the kind of help they need, and the difference this support could make. Winners will be announced in October.

The Community Fund has already backed a range of projects in the region. Previous recipients include Canford Heath Neighbourhood Watch and Moor Community Food Store, both of which were able to strengthen their work thanks to the support.

The fund is part of Morebus’ ongoing commitment to give back to the communities it serves. For more information and details on how to apply, visit morebus.co.uk.
