New outdoor party experience launches near Bournemouth Airport

A new outdoor learning and birthday party venue has opened in Hurn, near Bournemouth Airport. Called the Nature Nook, the space is designed to encourage children to explore nature through creative and hands-on experiences.

The Nature Nook is part of The Treehouse, run by the charity Diverse Abilities, and offers three themed party options: Fairy, Nerf and Bushcraft. Each one is designed to help children build confidence, teamwork and creativity while enjoying the outdoors.

The Fairy party includes wand-making, scavenger hunts and nature crafts. The Nerf party transforms the site into a custom battlefield with barriers and camouflage, while the Bushcraft option includes fire-lighting, den building and survival skills.

Lily Felstead, Short Breaks Deputy Manager at Diverse Abilities, said the team is “really looking forward to welcoming people to the Nature Nook for some really special birthday parties,” with equipment that includes a mud kitchen, fire pit, and outdoor play and learning zones.

Weekend bookings are now available from April to September, with optional catering where children can cook hot dogs and toast marshmallows over a fire. Families can also choose to bring their own food.
