Bournemouth graduate named finalist in national chef scholarship
A Bournemouth graduate has been announced as one of just sixteen national finalists in the prestigious 2025 Le Cordon Bleu London Scholarship competition.
Twenty-two-year-old Daria Boichenko will compete in the live Grand Final this September, where she will take on a culinary challenge set by Le Cordon Bleu’s Master Chefs and judged by some of the UK’s most respected names in food, including Emily Roux and Chris Galvin.
Daria stood out for her natural flair and focus, the judges said.
The winner will receive a prize package worth over £90,000, including a full Grand Diplôme® scholarship, year-long accommodation, and mentorship from leading chefs.
The competition, which marks Le Cordon Bleu London’s 130th anniversary, aims to launch careers in the culinary world.
The Grand Final will be held on 8 September in Bloomsbury, followed by a formal event at CORD by Le Cordon Bleu.
