AFC Bournemouth’s first-team squad have returned to training ahead of the 2025–26 Premier League season.
Players, including those returning from loan spells, arrived back at the club’s Performance Centre to begin a series of fitness tests following their summer break.
The opening days of pre-season included strength and power assessments, cardiovascular tests, body composition analysis, and mobility screenings. These were carried out by the club’s performance and medical teams to evaluate the physical condition of each player.
It signals the start of pre-season under head coach Andoni Iraola, who is looking to build on the club’s successful 2024–25 campaign.
The Cherries will now work through an intensive programme of training sessions and friendly matches to prepare for the new season, which begins in August.
Updates from the club’s pre-season schedule will continue to be shared via its website and social media platforms.
AFC Bournemouth finished twelfth in the Premier League last season, their highest-ever top-flight points total.
Bournemouth will face European side Girona in a pre-season friendly scheduled for late July and the club’s 2025–26 Premier League campaign will begin on the weekend of 9–10 August.
