Bournemouth children invited to join summer science adventures

Hands-on science sessions for children aged three to fourteen are returning to Bournemouth this summer as Science Zone UK relaunches its STEM Adventures programme after a five-year break.

Running till 30th August at the Royal Arcade in Boscombe, the workshops include coding, robotics, space exploration, chemistry and more. The activities are designed to spark curiosity and creativity in young minds through a mix of storytelling, play and scientific discovery.

New themed days for this year include Pirate Day, Astronaut Academy and Dinosaur Rock Out, which explore topics ranging from local history and marine science to astronomy and palaeontology.

Science Zone UK presenter Douglas Karson said the aim is to inspire children to explore the world around them. The sessions are led by educators and include immersive experiences in the 360-degree digital planetarium, covering topics such as space, volcanoes and prehistoric life.

Workshops will also feature Code Ninjas sessions, where children can learn 3D printing, Minecraft modding, LEGO robotics and more.
