Investigation into Bournemouth death concludes with no further action

An investigation into the death of a man found unconscious in Bournemouth has concluded with no further action being taken.

Police were called to an address on Hinton Road at around 12.15am on Thursday 20 July 2023 following a concern for welfare report.

A man in his 60s was found unconscious inside the property and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

He died in hospital on Monday 24 July 2023.

Detectives from the Major Crime Investigation Team carried out a full investigation to establish the circumstances around the man’s death.

Enquiries included the gathering of medical evidence and other relevant information.

Following the investigation, officers confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious.

Three people from Bournemouth – a 23-year-old woman and two men aged 39 – were initially arrested in connection with the incident.

They were first arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and later re-arrested on suspicion of murder after the man died.

All three individuals were released on police bail during the investigation and have now been released from the enquiry with no further action being taken.
