Sandbanks Ferry in Poole was suspended following concern for the welfare of a man

Sandbanks Ferry in Poole was suspended for around two hours on Saturday because of an incident.

Dorset Police received a report raising concern for the welfare of a man around 11.30am at the ferry terminal. Officers attended with the ambulance service and the coastguard.

A spokesperson from HM Coastguard told Bournemouth One at the time: “HM Coastguard is assisting police with the response to an incident in Sandbanks this afternoon, 26 October. Alerted at around 12.30pm, Poole and Southbourne Coastguard Rescue Teams have been sent to the scene.”
