A man is due in court in connection with Charminster shoplifting offences

A Bournemouth man is due to appear in court in connection with multiple shoplifting offences in Charminster.

It’s alleged that the 33-year-old stole from both the Co-op in Charminster Road and One Stop in Ripon Road between December last year and February this year.

After a police investigation, the man was charged with 45 counts of theft from a shop. He first appeared at Poole Magistrates Court on Monday 6th May and is due to go back there on Tuesday 14th.

Chief Inspector Alyssa Forrest, of Dorset Police, said: “This investigation was carried out as part of Op Shopkeeper, which is the Retail Team in the Incident Resolution Team’s ongoing efforts to identify suspected prolific shoplifters across the county to help our business communities.”
