BCP voters go to the polls to elect Dorset’s next Police & Crime Commissioner

Voters in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are today choosing Dorset’s next Police & Crime Commissioner.

The four candidates are Howard Legg, for the Liberal Democrats; Conservative David Sidwick; Labour candidate David Stokes and Independent Marianne Storey.

There’s also a by-election in BCP Council’s Canford Cliffs ward and elections for all 82 seats on Dorset Council.

The four candidates standing in Canford Cliffs are:

  • Jim Buchanan, Labour Party
  • Ray Sparrow, Liberal Democrats
  • Johnny Tutton, Green Party
  • Gavin Wright, Conservative & Unionist Party

Voters are reminded that they need to show photo ID to be eligible to vote in person and by proxy.

Polling stations close at 10pm tonight.
