A man in his 70s is in hospital with serious injuries and a women in her 30s has been arrested following a collision on Ashley Road in Bournemouth.
The incident was reported just after 8am on Wednesday near to the junction with Windham Road, involving a grey Vauxhall Mokka and a pedestrian.
Road closures were put in place to allow the emergency services to respond to the incident and for an examination of the collision scene to be carried out.
Police Constable Mark Burton, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out a full investigation into this collision and I am appealing for any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.
“I would also urge any motorists who were driving in the area to please review any dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything of relevance.
“Finally, I want to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closures. These are absolutely necessary to allow emergency services to respond and for a thorough examination of the scene to be conducted.”
