A family-run Christchurch business is planning further expansion as it prepares to celebrate its fifth anniversary.
Bridge Health & Wellbeing now has a team of 17 and has just signed a new ten year lease with a second studio opening soon.
Paul O’Connell, who owns the clinic with his wife, Louise, pictured, said it hadn’t been all plain sailing.
He told Bournemouth One: “It’s been a challenging five years, definitely.
“We opened pretty much six months before Covid struck us, of course that wasn’t in the business plan.
“Shutting your pride and joy after six months is not really where we wanted to be.
“But we’ve come through that, we’re through the other side, and proud and very pleased with the position we’re finding ourselves in.”
Highly experienced physiotherapist Mareen Frost is the latest to join the team.
A trained yoga teacher and Pilates mat instructor, she has a particular interest in pelvic floor health for both women and men.
Paul, who is the lead physiotherapist at Bridge Health & Wellbeing, said: “We are delighted Mareen is joining us to help extend our clinical services and meet patient demand.
“With over twenty years of experience, patients will be in very safe hands.
“Her yoga and Pilates training, alongside her physiotherapy certification, really complements our joined-up approach to health and wellbeing.”
Bridge Health & Wellbeing offers physiotherapy, chiropractic treatment, sports massage and rehabilitation services, expert Pilates, yoga and other wellbeing classes as well as gym facilities all under one roof.
