The leader of BCP Council says she’s determined to bring back the glory days for Bournemouth town centre.
Cllr Vikki Slade was speaking after giving evidence to a House of Lords committee on the future of high streets.
The council is backing the new Bournemouth Town Centre Action Partnership Group, chaired by Bournemouth West MP, Sir Conor Burns.
It is also campaigning for Michael Gove, Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, to drive forward action for town centres.
Cllr Slade told Bournemouth One: “Bournemouth is a great place to be.
“There are anti-social behaviour issues and there are environmental issues.
“But we’re determined to crack them and determined to bring back its glory days.”
