A local man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision near Wimborne.
The incident happened around 10.30am on Wednesday on the A31 near to the Canford Bottom roundabout involving a black Audi A6 and a Kawasaki motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle – a local man aged in his 50s – was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
The road was closed whilst emergency services attended.
Police Constable Calum Maton, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “I am appealing to any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please get in touch.
“I would also like to hear from any motorists who were travelling nearby and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.
“Finally, I understand the road closure would have had an impact in the area and I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding. This enabled us to safely deal with the incident and investigate the scene.”
