A Bournemouth community campaigner is among the people recognised in this year’s New Year Honours list.
The Reverend Chris Colledge is made a MBE for services to the community in Bournemouth.
He is known for his work with Bournemouth in Bloom as well as other voluntary activities.
Also made a MBE is Debbie Dixon, Lead Trustee for Bourne Community Hub.
She receives the honour for services to the community in Poole.
Legendary DJ Tony Blackburn, who lived for many years in Poole and has been on air since 1964, received the OBE.
More than 1,200 people received honours in the 2024 King’s New Year Honours List.
