Ongoing roadworks on Verwood Road at Three Legged Cross have been extended for another two weeks.
The work by SGN was expected to finish this week but will now be in place until May 10th.
Temporary traffic lights are in place near Joys Road on the B3072, causing long delays throughout the day, especially during the morning and afternoon rush hours.
Radio station Bournemouth One reported on the extension this morning, saying extra time is needed to allow for a specialist team to attend and check the work before the road reopens.
Work started in November 2023 and Verwood residents have reported being stuck in the queues for up to half an hour.
Roadworks are also scheduled to appear on the B3081 Verwood Road past the Somerley Recycling Centre on Friday 26th April between 9am and 4pm.
