James Stokoe & Mark Gamble are to remain in place as the management team for the next 18 months at Wimborne Town Football Club.
The board has released a statement saying it believes they deserve the opportunity to turn the club’s fortunes around – whichever division they find themselves in come the end of the season.
Finance Director Lee Merrifield added: “It goes without saying that this has been a tough season for everyone involved with the club but whilst there remains a chance of survival I know James & Mark will do all they can to ensure our survival and we still believe James & Mark are best placed to achieve this.
“As a board we favour stability and so as we enter a crucial run of fixtures we think it’s important to reinforce our support for the management team so that everyone associated with the club can all get behind the players during this critical period.”
