Verwood firefighters were called out on Thursday morning to a property in Southernhay Road, Verwood.
They responded to alarms sounding and once in attendance, the crew investigated the cause of the alarm activation.
It turned out to be a small kitchen hob fire which was out on arrival.
Natural ventilation was carried out due to light smoke logging. The fire involved a saucepan burning dry due to being left unattended.
