Station Road in Verwood was closed for over an hour on Monday morning due to a fallen lamp post.
A tractor hit a lamp post and a wall around 8am, when police diverted traffic around Dewlands Road, Dewlands Way and Home Farm Way whilst work was carried out to remove the post blocking a driveway.
The road was used by workers to remove the blockage and make the area safe.
Station Road re-opened around 9.40am.
