Hundreds of people attended the 2019 Verwood Flameburst on Saturday evening event after a day of heavy rain and strong winds.
The rain stopped in time for the opening of the event and ahead of the first ‘junior’ firework display at 7pm.
But the car park for the occasion, on a field known locally as The Fuzzy Bit, was too muddy for cars resulting in no access for visitors.
The evening went to plan, despite a smaller turnout than previous years, with live music, circus acts, entertainers, steam engines, fairground rides, food and drink plus the firework displays.
