Bournemouth care homes see falls drop

Care homes in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole have reported fewer falls after a new monitoring system was tested overnight. The pilot across six homes used sound and motion sensors to alert staff to signs of distress, helping teams respond quickly. Results showed sharp reductions in falls, ambulance callouts and hospital transfers. Council leaders said the findings support a more preventative approach to adult social care. The NHS is expected to publish the full report soon.
