Locals asked to shape the future of transport and highways

Around 3500 Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole residents will soon be receiving a questionnaire for the National Highways & Transport Public Satisfaction Survey.

BCP Council is one of 111 Local Authorities who have signed up to the national survey as a UK local transport authority.

The results of the survey will provide a national picture of transport infrastructure and needs. It will help BCP Council to compare themselves with the other authorities taking part, as well as to identifying where they are doing particularly well or need to improve. It will also help BCP Council to develop future policies and make a case for future funding streams.

The questionnaires are being sent out right now and will be arriving over the next two weeks. The accompanying letter will also offer the chance to complete the survey on-line. A short URL link will be printed on the front of the questionnaire and participants will simply need to enter a code before completing it.

The deadline for completing and returning the questionnaires is 20th August, after which the results will be collated and then published by the end of October.
