Family shows fill Bournemouth Pavilion

Theatre events will bring shows for children and older audiences to Bournemouth Pavilion this year.

Bluey’s Big Play opens the programme from 6 to 9 August, using puppetry to bring Bluey, Bingo and their friends to the stage, with audio description headphones and a dedicated British Sign Language performance available.

Taylormania follows on 16 August, led by Katy Ellis with a live band and dancers, while MAMMA MIA!, Waitress, 9 to 5 The Musical and Piff and Pop’s Magic Shoppe broaden the programme.

Aladdin then runs from 5 December until 3 January 2027, starring James Cartwright as Abanazar and Britain’s Got Talent semi finalist Kristel Herrera as Princess Jasmine in the Pavilion’s annual pantomime.

Nicola Coney, BH Live’s Entertainments and Events Manager, said the venue was “excited to give families even more reasons to visit”, with events intended to offer shared theatre experiences across different generations.
