Bournemouth Airport says Matchams Lane will be closed between 8am and 6pm from Wednesday 29 July to Friday 31 July.
The closure affects the road between its junction with Avon Causeway and Bostwick Lane.
BCP Council is carrying out essential highway maintenance works.
The road will be closed to all vehicles, with no parking, waiting, loading or unloading during the works.
A diversion will run via Christchurch Road, the A338 Spur Road, Ringwood Road, Boundary Lane, Hurn Road and Matchams Lane.
Passengers are being advised to allow extra time when travelling to and from the airport.
