Children across the region can travel free by bus throughout August under a government scheme.
The offer will run from Saturday 1 August until Monday 31 August, allowing families to use local services for trips to town centres, beaches, restaurants and cinemas during the school holidays.
Children aged 5 to 11 must be accompanied by an adult, while those aged 11 to 15 can travel independently after telling the driver where they are going and waiting for a ticket.
Morebus commercial director David Lee-King said buses can help reduce congestion and improve air quality, adding that the scheme would make travel “even more affordable this summer”.
Passengers aged 14 and 15 may be asked to prove their age using a birth certificate, passport or school pass, including a clear photograph of the document on a mobile phone.
Some journeys are excluded, including night buses and the New Forest Tour, while adults travelling with younger children should tell the driver how many children are in their group when boarding.
