Upton Country Park and Poole Park have both been recognised with the Green Flag Award, marking them among the best parks in the United Kingdom.
The Green Flag Award is an international quality mark for parks and green spaces, celebrating its thirtieth year.
Parks and green spaces across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole provide safe and accessible places for relaxation, exercise, socialising and improving wellbeing.
The award highlights the dedication of staff and volunteers who maintain these spaces for a wide range of visitors and support local wildlife and conservation efforts.
Councillor Andy Hadley, Portfolio Holder with responsibility for parks and gardens, said it is wonderful news that both parks have once again achieved the Green Flag Award.
He credited the commitment and hard work of staff and volunteers for this achievement, noting the many ways volunteers contribute, from gardening and supporting visitors to conservation work and wildlife surveys.
BCP Council expressed pride in its green spaces and natural environment, emphasising the importance of protecting and enhancing these areas for residents, visitors and wildlife, now and for future generations.
The Green Flag Award scheme is managed by Keep Britain Tidy and sets the benchmark for well-managed parks and green spaces across the country and internationally.
