Police are investigating a fire at Bourne Valley Park in Poole that may have been started deliberately.
Officers were alerted by the fire service at 3.37pm after the incident was reported.
Detective Inspector Darren Stanton from Dorset Police said that, following discussions with the fire service, it is believed the fire could have been started on purpose.
He urged anyone who was in the area and might have information to come forward to assist with the investigation.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
Police have emphasised that such incidents can have serious consequences and confirmed that all available lines of enquiry will be pursued.
