AFC Bournemouth has officially begun the redevelopment of Vitality Stadium, marking a significant milestone for the club and its supporters in Bournemouth.
Representatives gathered at the stadium for a ceremonial groundbreaking, recognising the start of a transformation that aims to shape the club’s future for generations.
President of Business Operations Jim Frevola and President of Football Operations Tiago Pinto attended the event as work continues on the redevelopment.
The project will increase the stadium’s capacity, modernise facilities for supporters and ensure the club remains at its historic Dean Court home.
Jim Frevola described the redevelopment as the beginning of the next chapter in the club’s history, saying it is about creating a stadium worthy of supporters and preserving the unique atmosphere of Vitality Stadium. The ceremony also acknowledged the contributions of BCP Council, project partners and contractors.
The milestone was celebrated as a tribute to the club’s supporters, whose backing has helped AFC Bournemouth progress.
The club thanked fans for their patience and support as work continues, looking forward to welcoming them to an enhanced stadium in the future.
