Young people can now apply for a free politics summer school in Bournemouth this August.
Jessica Toale MP is running the two-day programme at Bournemouth University on August 24 and 25 for students aged 16 to 19.
Workshops and activities will be led by campaigners, journalists, councillors and policy specialists, with participants able to explore media, debate and campaigning.
The event is open to young people with an interest in their community and the world around them, rather than only those already considering a career in politics.
Applications are particularly encouraged from people from underrepresented backgrounds, with places available free of charge.
Last year’s Summer School welcomed 60 young people from across Bournemouth and Poole.

One participant, Ellen, said it gave her “a real insight” into the range of careers connected to politics.
Jessica Toale said she wanted to encourage young people who may not usually put themselves forward to apply, adding that the programme offered opportunities to gain new skills and meet people working in public life.
Applications close on Monday, July 13.
