Three charged over Poole teenager’s death

Three men have been charged following the death of an 18-year-old in Poole.

Kyeron Wheeler, from Poole, was found injured in Longfleet Road at 2.13am on Friday 19 June. He was taken to hospital for treatment to a suspected stab wound but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Detectives believe Kyeron sustained his injuries during an incident in Dale Close before being transported to Longfleet Road in a car. Officers from Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team have been carrying out extensive enquiries since the incident.

Dluwadamilare Aremu, 22, of Bletchley in Buckinghamshire, Trevor Gonzo, 22, of London, and Callum Roberts, 20, of Blandford, have all been charged with murder.

The three men have also been charged with possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place, acquiring, using or possessing criminal property and 2 counts of possession with intent to supply a class A controlled drug.

Roberts faces an additional charge of possessing a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place.

All three are due to appear at Southampton (changed from original story) Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 23 June.

Detective Superintendent Neil Third said the investigation had been “complex and fast-moving” and that officers had “worked diligently to piece together the circumstances” surrounding the incident.

Police said officers will continue increased patrols in affected areas and urged the public not to speculate or share information online while court proceedings are ongoing.
