A 16-year-old has become Bournemouth Chamber’s youngest member in its 110-year history.
Syd Scott was welcomed into Bournemouth Chamber at an event in June, attended by the President of Bournemouth Chamber of Trade and Commerce and Bournemouth Mayor Councillor Roberto Rocca.
Chamber directors and patrons, including Rejuvenate and Bournemouth One, heard from Syd about his new business, Immaculate Intelligence Agency, along with its aims and future ambitions.
His presentation received applause several times during the event, with those attending also hearing that he can speak 6 languages.
Syd will now become part of the chamber’s new Digital Growth Specialist Network Group, linking him with businesses and individuals involved in digital development.
The announcement comes as Bournemouth Chamber continues to involve younger members in its work.
Both Vice Presidents of Bournemouth Chamber of Trade and Commerce are aged 30, with the organisation highlighting the contribution younger people can make to its future direction.
Syd’s membership marks a milestone for the chamber, which has been supporting businesses and local connections in Bournemouth for more than a century.
BCTC has also just announced a summer beach party, planned for Thursday 30th July 2026 from 5.30pm till 8.30on at El Murrino Beach. See more on the Chamber website.
