Teams are being sought to take part in the Dorset Plane Pull at Bournemouth Airport on Monday 31 August 2026.
The event, which challenges groups of twenty people to pull a 35,000 kilogram plane over a distance of fifty metres, is returning after last year’s successful fundraiser.
This year, The CRUMBS Project is recruiting participants to join its team and help raise money for its work supporting local people.
Anyone aged fourteen or over can take part, though those under eighteen will need parental consent. No specific physical training is required to join in.
Participants are asked to arrive about an hour before their scheduled slot. The event will run throughout the day and will also feature live music, food vendors, a spectator area, and charity activities.
Organisers say it is a chance for the community to come together and support a local cause. Those unable to take part in the plane pull itself are invited to donate online to support The CRUMBS Project’s fundraising efforts.
More information and a registration form are available here for those interested in joining the team or making a donation.
