Murder investigation launched after Poole stabbing

A murder investigation has begun after an eighteen-year-old man died following a stabbing in Poole.

Dorset Police were called at 2.13am on Friday 19 June 2026, after the man was found with injuries in Longfleet Road. He was taken to hospital but died a short time later. His family has been informed.

Detectives believe the man was injured during an incident in Dale Close before being driven to Longfleet Road. Officers closed Longfleet Road for several hours to carry out detailed enquiries, reopening it at around 7am. A cordon remains in place in Dale Close while police examine the suspected scene.

Detective Superintendent Neil Third said an investigation is underway and officers are working quickly to establish what happened. Neil urged anyone who saw anything suspicious in Dale Close or Longfleet Road in the early hours of Friday to contact police. He also asked residents and motorists to check home CCTV or dashcam footage for anything relevant.
