Umbrella Bathrooms in Kinson has won a national award for new bathroom retailers in the UK.
The business received New Bathroom Retailer of the Year at the BKU Awards, which recognise retailers, brands, people and services across the kitchen and bathroom industry.
Steve and Rich from Umbrella Bathrooms told Bournemouth One they were “extremely grateful” to have won the award, following work to establish the business as a local presence and within the wider industry.
They said they had “dedicated considerable time and effort” to building Umbrella Bathrooms, adding that this had led to the recognition from the BKU Awards.
The BKU Awards were launched in 2015 and are voted for by suppliers and people working within the kitchen and bathroom sector.
Organisers say the awards are designed to recognise companies and individuals across the industry, while giving those who work in it the opportunity to vote for the people and businesses they feel should be acknowledged.
The scheme is described as one that “hands power back to the people”, with votes coming from those connected to the kitchen and bathroom trade.
