New play equipment installed at Fisherman’s Walk

BCP Council has completed an £11,000 upgrade at the Fisherman’s Walk play area.

The improvements include new wooden stilts, a play boat and repaired swings.

The project was supported by Boscombe East and Pokesdown councillor Eleanor Connolly, working with the Neighbourhood Forum to secure funding.

Councillor Connolly said the new equipment had “lifted the space” after residents felt it had become empty.

The work forms part of BCP Council’s wider plans to improve more than 120 play areas across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
