Gary Davies is bringing his Disco for Grown Ups 80s party to Bournemouth this month.
The BBC Radio 2 Sounds of the 80s presenter will host the event at the O2 Academy in Boscombe on Friday 19 June, as part of a summer 2026 UK tour with Discos For Grown Ups.
The show is being promoted as a night of 80s music, dancing and themed entertainment, with the audience invited to dress for the decade and bring friends for an evening built around well known hits.
The Bournemouth date will include music from artists named in the announcement, including Wham, Erasure, ABBA, Whitney, Aha, Queen, Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Human League, Madonna, Eurythmics and Soft Cell.
The production is also set to feature dancers, confetti showers, lights, lasers and mirror balls, alongside the music selected for the party night.
Gary Davies, known to listeners for hosting Sounds of the 80s, has teamed up with Discos For Grown Ups for the tour, which will visit venues across the UK.
The announcement says: “80s dress up is encouraged!”
It also describes the event as a chance to “sing, dance and party like it’s 1985”, with the Bournemouth show forming part of the wider summer tour.
