Dorset Police is investigating the death of a man found in Poole Harbour.
Police were first told on Sunday 31 May that a man had gone into the water from a sailing boat in the Arne Bay area on Friday 29 May.
On Tuesday 2 June, a man was found unresponsive in the water off Baiter Park and was confirmed dead.
Formal identification has not yet taken place, but police believe the man is 35-year-old Michael Mitchell from Chelmsford, known to his family as Mitch.
Three men, aged 46, 31 and 22, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody.
Detectives say the arrests have been made as part of efforts to gather information and establish the full circumstances of the death.
