Residents invited to shape £20m local plans

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council says applications are open for residents to join new Pride in Place neighbourhood boards.

Boscombe West, Hamworthy West and Turlin Moor, and West Howe have each been selected for up to £20 million of Government investment over the next decade.

Local boards will help set priorities, shape plans and decide how the money is spent in each neighbourhood.

The boards will include residents, community groups, businesses and local representatives.

Each area will also have an independent neighbourhood chair.

Councillor Sandra Moore said the programme is about working with and for communities, and encouraged residents to apply.
