Boscombe car parks to close for regeneration

Car parks behind the former WHSmith and Costa Coffee on Christchurch Road in Boscombe will begin closing from Friday May 29.

Around 50 spaces at the western end of the site will close first, before a full closure on July 24.

The closure is needed for the Better Boscombe regeneration project.

The scheme will deliver a new community centre, 68 council-owned homes and space for health and wellbeing services.

Demolition of the former WHSmith building has already been completed.

Main construction work is expected to begin in August, with the full project due to be completed by August 2028.
